The Boswell Sisters, Vol. 3 - IMPROVED SOUND
Recordings made from March through December of 1932, including soundtracks from film footage. All of these have been cleaned up and re-equalized to the best of my ability. I used the Boswells’ film soundtracks as a model for all of their recordings as I believe that film sound, even in the early 1930s, was generally far superior in dynamic range and more realistic than phonograph records, which were engineered to be dull and tubby because the steel and cactus needles of that time, and the phonographs they were played on, made the sound much brighter.
